Not only are South Africans brewing abroad – as Lucy Corne captures in her feature – but they are also judging at renowned beer festivals and competitions, from the US to Europe. We thought we’d hear from two of those who ventured north to share their talent and passion with the world. Troye May, founder of Beer School and the podcast Beer Time, shared a few reflections on his time spent at the Great American Beer Festival (an event you can read more about in Lottee Peplow’s feature), and On Tap spoke with Apiwe Nxusani-Mawela, well-known brewmaster and founder of Tolokazi Beer Co., about her experience at the European Beer Star in Germany.
