Kamini specialises in the technical development and commercialisation of beverages. Her career spans new product development, sensory science, strategic marketing, technical sales, and global key account management. Megan Gemmell, a Microbiology Master's graduate, found her passion for brewing 15 years ago. She went from homebrewing to then taking the leap to owning and brewing for her own brand, Clockwork Brewhouse. She's a recognized BJCP judge and also mentors the brewing course at the 1000 Hills Chef School. She has also won multiple awards for her brews over the years. Megan Gemmell Kamini Dickie A Master Brewer with 26 years’ experience in the beverage industry. Craig has 14 years’ experience at SABMiller, 3 years at SurePure Inc in South Africa and global, 2 years with Cara Technology UK and global, 1 year at Lyras A/S, owner of SCG Consulting CC and Master Brewer Consulting PTY (Ltd) which service the beverage industry. Craig Groeneveld Joya is a writer and part-time editor who just completed her Master’s Degree in Creative Writing at the University of Cape Town. She is also a longtime craft beer enthusiast. She started homebrewing a few years ago and remains on a quest tomaster her favourite style: the Saison. While originally hailing from the US state of Vermont, Joya has spent well over half her life abroad, and is currently happy to call Cape Town home. Joya Taft-Dick After working in Lifestyle Television for years, it was the show DIS! that convinced Anél to become qualified in culinary arts. An award-winningbaker, she also holds a deep knowledge of craft beer. After an extended stint as the regional manager for Cactus Craft in theWestern Cape, she has recently stepped back into the kitchen at Ōku in Franschhoek. Anél Du Preez ApiweNxusani-Mawela is a Brewmaster with over 15 years of practical brewing experience in both micro and macro breweries throughout Africa. She is also an internationally recognised beer judge and the founder of Tolokazi Beer and the Brewsters Academy. Apiwe Nxusani-Mawela Byron Lombard started his beer journey on social media in 2017 and has since become well known as The Beer Bruh. Blogging, reviewing and celebrating Craft Beer has become his passion and he brings his eternal positivity and love of beer to the beer blogging scene. Byron Lombard Born in France, JV Ridon started as a sommelier in the family restaurant before starting his own wine restaurant in the Loire Valley. Studying wine-making further, he came to South Africa in 1996 and managed various wineries, including his own brand, Signal Hill wines. He coaches the National Teamof Blind Tasting and takes them to the world championship every year. Outside of wine, he is the co-founded the National Beer Trophy. His food pairing book "Passion for Pairing" was awarded the prestigious OIV Book Award and the Gourmand Best of the World Award. Jean-Vincent Ridon Wanda du Plessis is the CEO and Co-Founder of Preserve Botanica, but she started her professional career as a physiotherapist and later ventured towards plant-based medicine in developingahopextract againstMultidrug-resistant Tuberculosis. She is responsible for quality product development, agro-processing standards and leads the teamat Preserve Botanica. Wanda du Plessis Kofi holds a Post graduate diploma in brewing and distilling from Heriot-Watt University, as well as 10 years experience in brewing operations in Ghana.
