GAUTENG WOMEN IN LIQUOR INDUSTRY This event was organized by Brewsters Academy in collaboration with the Gauteng Liquor Board and aimed to showcase the contributions of women throughout the alcohol industry value chain. It seeks to foster networking opportunities and promote inclusion and diversity within the industry. The target audience consisted of 100 invited guests who engaged in a day of networking and sampling craft beer, wine, and gin produced by some of the Gauteng-based micro-manufacturers. For the ‘Brewers League Competition,’ the club takes the members’ scores for all the club competitions, as well as placements in Fool & Fans, the Wolfgang Cup, WP Champs & SA Homebrew Champs, to come up with an overall winner for the year. The 2024 winners are: First Place: Ian Runnalls 2nd Place: James Cook 3rd Place: Michael Jackobs SOUTHYEASTERS BREWERS LEAGUE 2024 After years of the tasting room being hosted by various restaurants, Buchanan's Brewery is excited to announce that the brewery and their own taproom will be opening at Manley Wine Estate in Tulbagh in early June.
