CAPE TOWN, APRIL 21 22, 2023 BEEREX AFRICA SEEN AT Beer lovers from across the continent congregated at the Hotel Verde for BeerEx Africa, a two-day conference and expo. Formerly known as the Craft Brewers Powwow, BeerEx featured speakers from seven countries, including American beer celebrity Sam Calagione, founder of Dogfish Head Brewery in Delaware. As well as listening to technical talks and inspirational lectures, attendees joined in a number of beer tasting sessions, enjoyed a food pairing with British beer writer Melissa Cole, networked in the expo tent and danced to a live band comprised of people that work in the South African beer industry.
