He started homebrewing at the age of 16 with the goal of finding his way into the professional brewing industry. An honours degree in Microbiology from NMU and work in Ireland and Germany in a number of craft breweries set the foundation to tackle this career. Michelle is a Chemical Engineer by trade with a love for beer and brewing. Her home brewing résumé kicked off in 2013 when she hosted her own Oktoberfest. She is a prolific brewer who loves experimenting with yeast strains and alternative ingredients. Her next move is to reach more palettes with her contract beer brand Pause Beer Co. Craig started his journey in beer as a homebrewer in a London bedsit in 2004. He is a partner at Neelsie Travel and it was in 2017 that he fused his passion for tourism and craft beer to create the Beer Route, an organisation set up to promote craft beer tourism in South Africa. He is also the co-founder of Lunar Brew and current chairperson of the Helderberg Homebrew Club. Check out Beer Route at www.beerroute.co.za . With over 20 years in the global brewing and beverage world... in beer, wine, cider, kombucha, hard seltzer, botanicals...Kamini established Cleverfish Consulting to help companies create innovative cross-category drinks. Kamini specialises in the technical development and commercialisation of beverages. Her career spans new product development, sensory science, strategic marketing, technical sales, and global key account management. Tsikwe Molobye is the founder and brewer of Stimela Brewing Company. With eight years’ experience in the craft beer industry from brewing, sales, distribution, Chairman of Worthogs Pretoria and consulting for Twiga Brewery, Tanzania firsts craft brewery, Tsikwe is passionate about re-imagining African traditional beers using authentic African ingredients. During the hard lockdown of 2020 he wrote an eBook Lockdown Dranks and launched a YouTube channel that teaches beginners how to safely brew their own beverages at home. Mandisa is proudly South African. Born into a family of farm labourers in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, her career in hospitality and tourism is underpinned by her love for her community and a dream to see it truly benefit from the eco tourism business that changed it. She is a hotel marketing executive and owns a communications agency that represents luxury hospitality businesses across Africa. Mandisa also chairs the board of the South African Tourism Services Association and hosts a weekly radio show on a commercial radio station in the Eastern Cape. Her professional life takes centre stage on public platforms, but her private life is fully vested in raising her small family alongside the love of her life.
