Check the label for a best before or production date to make sure you are buying fresh beer. 3. CHECK FOR TASTING NOTES There are many di erent styles of beer available, and not every style appeals to every beer drinker. To set expectations, many craft breweries will include basic tasting notes on their labels. Check the labels to see if the beer appeals to you. You can also visit the brewery’s website to find out more about each beer. 4. CHECK BEER REVIEWS Social media apps including Beeradvocate, Ratebeer and Untappd are useful for finding recommendations on craft beers. Just remember that each person’s tastes are di erent. 5. BOTTLE OR CAN? Cans are better for beer, better for the planet, and better for the brewers. Many craft brewers are adopting cans as their preferred packaging. Given the choice, always choose beer in a can. It is likely to be in better condition than bottled beer. 6. DRINK FRESH Very few beers get better with time. Store your beer in a fridge and consume it as fresh as possible.
