SAGGY STONE LAUNCHES ANNUAL BEER TREK JACK BLACK CELEBRATES 15TH BIRTHDAY One of the pioneers of craft beer in South Africa, Jack Black’s Brewing Company, celebrates its 15th anniversary in December. The now nationwide brand started as a contract brewery in 2007, brewing first at Birkenhead, then Boston and later at CBC in Paarl. In 2016, Jack Black opened their own brewery and taproom in the southern suburbs of Cape Town and have since expanded the range and won numerous awards for their beers. The brewery went into a partnership deal with Heineken in 2018. They’ll be celebrating their landmark birthday on 3 December at the taproom. Robertson-based Saggy Stone has re-launched their Beer Trek Box, which encourages people to get out into nature – with a Saggy Stone beer in hand. Buy the Saggy Stone Beer Trek Box, which includes 10 beers, a running shirt in your size, a unique trek number and a list of 10 locations matched up with each beer. You grab your beers and start to visit the listed landmarks around Cape Town and the Winelands, snapping a picture of the designated beer at its specified location. Share your photos on social media with #saggystonebeertrek and if you make it to at least six locations, they’ll send you a case of your favourite Saggy Stone beer for free!
