BREWER'S DOZEN COCKTAILS DRINKERS FOR BEER Since we’re celebrating all beverages in this issue and not just beer, we gave our regular columnist Rob Cass a challenge – to choose a dozen cocktails that could stand in for some of your favourite beers. Here’s what he came up with. I t’s fair to say that beer is a perfect beverage. The sheer variety of styles and flavours available means you never have to stray from the world of barley and hops to satisfy a wandering palate. However, there is another world out there; a world of infinite flavour combinations and amusing names which are fun to order on a night out. I’m talking about cocktails of course. So if you’re a beer drinker looking to branch out this festive season, I’ve been testing out cocktails that could act as a fine substitute for your preferred pint.
