NICK RUDLING Alberton I would lean towards a Belgian Strong Ale as my beer choice. And the song to go with that would be an entire album really: Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory. If I could really only pick one song on the album it would be, In the end. HELENA SILVER Benoni I love an IPA. One that is bold, hoppy and full of flavour that explodes in your mouth, while listening to anything ranging from Dagdrome in Suburbia by Francois van Coke to Highway to Hell by AC/DC. But for the woman’s day competition held by Mother City Beer Project, I took a different approach. While brewing a West Coast Amber the playlist was inspired by female vocalists such as Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Blondie, Roxette, Karen Zoid and Cyndi Lauper. VICTOR BENN Brackenfell So, I am an avid lover of music and have multiple favourites, however, top of the list would have to be Lisa se klavier by Koos Kombuis. This paired with the Big Red Ale by Saggystone is close to perfection. PULENG ZACHARIA Bloemfontein I would say an Aegir Chipotle Brown Ale pairs perfectly with Charlie Brown, by Coldplay from their Mylo Xyloto album! DION VAN HUYSSTEEN Drummond I would say sitting back with a good West Coast IPA and Radiohead playing in the background (maybe Fake Plastic Trees or My Iron Lung) is an excellent pairing. What is the perfect beer and music pairing? Tell us about your favourite song and what beer or style of beer pairs perfectly with it.
