Something with a nice malty personality but balanced and drinkable that I can have a few pints of. Anything a little malty. A Red Ale drinks well, uta Vienna Lager is my preferred beer style heading out of summer. My ideal autumn beer is Devils Peak First Light. Actually, all year-round beer. And if it's autumn, I drink it too. A very easy drinking beer with great flavour. This Franschhoek really does have strong accents of coffee and dark chocolate which is perfect for autumn drinking. For the autumn, my go-to is a delicious pumpkin beer. I realize it's not a commonly-used flavour here in South Africa, but a good pumpkin beer showcases subtle vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg--and uses real pumpkin! My favourite autumn beer is by far the Irish Red from Swagga Breweries. It has a beautiful roasted malt flavour that is a great balance between crisp and warmth.
