After working in Lifestyle Television for years it was the show DIS! that convinced Anél to become qualified in culinary arts. An award-winning baker, she also has a deep knowledge of craft beer and is the regional manager for Cactus Craft in the Western Cape. Anél Du Preez Byron Lombard started his beer journey on social media in 2017 and has since become well known as The Beer Bruh. Blogging, reviewing and celebrating Craft Beer has become his passion and he brings his eternal positivity and love of beer to the beer blogging scene. Byron Lombard Lucy Corne is an award-winning beer writer and educator. She is the founder of www.brewmistress.co.za and writes for numerous international beer publications. Lucy started South African National Beer Day in 2016 and co-founded the African Beer Cup with her husband, Shawn, in 2018. She is Africa’s first AdvancedCicerone and runs a range of workshops and training courses on all things beer related. Lucy Corne Joya is a writer and part-time editor who just completed her Master’s Degree in Creative Writing at the University of Cape Town. She is also a longtime craft beer enthusiast. She started homebrewing a few years ago and remains on a quest to master her favourite style: the Saison. While originally hailing from the US state of Vermont, Joya has spent well over half her life abroad, and is currently happy to call Cape Town home. Joya Taft-Dick Craig started his journey in beer as a homebrewer in a London bedsit in 2004. He is a partner at Neelsie Travel and it was in 2017 that he fused his passion for tourism and craft beer to create the Beer Route, an organisation set up to promote craft beer tourism in South Africa. He is also the co-founder of Lunar Brew and current chairperson of the Helderberg Homebrew Club. Check out Beer Route at www.beerroute.co.za . Craig Claassen Marcel is a beer geek who’s been brewing for over a decade and still gets things wrong. He teaches brewing, writes, and spends more money on beer than is wise. Marcel Harper Rob is a home brewer, BJCP beer judge and all-round beer geek. He loves everything about beer, be it the science, the history, or the practical nature. His life quest is to brew the perfect English Bitter. Rob is our resident list maker. Rob Cass Kamini specialises in beverage development and commercialisation. After 20 years in the global brewing industry, extolling the virtues of beer, Kamini began exploring other beverages, namely tea, coffee, and wine. Innovating across the beverage sectors led her to create Cleverfish Consulting, a company that brings cross-category product innovation and market-ready concepts in the drinks industry. www.cleverfishconsulting.com .
