BEEREX AFRICA CONFERENCE This year see the recently renamed BeerEx Africa conference takes place at the Hotel Verde in Cape Town. The Keynote speaker is none other than Sam Calagione, the co- founder of the legendary Dogfish Head Brewery in Delaware, USA. The program includes Sensory training, food and beer pairing, dinner with UK beer writer Melissa Cole. There will also be a special appearance by Mötley Brüe – a band comprised of people from the industry. The event culminates with the African Beer Cup awards on the Saturday. There is a series of 4 “Beers Across Borders” events planned, the first of which will be at At Hops End in Benoni on the 4th of March.
