Afro Caribbean Brewing Company’s Rochelle Dunlop has left the popular Cape Town brewpub to take up a position as head brewer at Craft Chameleon in Nairobi. Jake Sandenbergh, who has previously brewed at Mad Giant, Drifter and Agar’s, will take over as head brewer at ACBC. Cape Brewing Company in Paarl has released a special edition lager in aid of the Volunteer Wildfire Service. The 4.5% lager is available nationwide, with 10% of the proceeds going to VWS. Afrikaans singer Corné Pretorius has launched his own beer, brewed at Saggy Stone. The beer, named Biertjies after his hit of the same name with Die Heuwels Fantasties and Ampie, was lanched on 19 February.
